Aliff Omar Mohamad Omar

Aliff Omar was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ekuiti Nasional Berhad (Ekuinas) on 23 May 2025. He is a member of the Investment Committee, Management Committee and Private Credit Committee.

Aliff brings with him over 16 years’ experience in corporate advisory and investment banking, covering energy, consumer, and technology sectors. Prior to his appointment, he served as Senior Director, Investment at Ekuinas, having joined the company as Director, Investment in 2017.

Before Ekuinas, Aliff held senior roles at UBS AG, CIMB Investment Bank and Maybank Investment Bank, where he led numerous M&A and capital markets transactions across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. His expertise spans the energy, financial services, infrastructure and real estate sectors.

Aliff graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering & Management Sciences (Cum Laude) with a second major in Economics from Northwestern University and holds a Master of Philosophy in Finance from the University of Cambridge.
